About Author

Hello,
My name is Sean McElhenny and as you now know, I am the author of ‘Sean’s Blog Attack’!
I am currently studying to become a Primary School Teacher and I’m in my 2nd year at U.T.S Kuringai.  I’ve recently commenced a subject titled “e-Learning in the Primary School” and as apart of this subject, edublog’s is a key element.  Edublog’s is an easy to use blogging platform where students, such as myself, can discuss and reflect upon important material relevant to us as primary education students/teachers.

Some background information about me and why I have chosen Primary Education as my future career:

I have worked in the childcare industry for over two years now and since the time I first started, I loved the idea of being able to teach and help guide so many young minds, whom I never realised where so eager to learn.  Some of the jobs I have held relating to the field of childcare are:
•    Rock Climbing Instructor for kids aged 5 and up,
•    Childcare worker in a crèche setting, and
•    Childcare worker in a long day childcare facility.
All of these positions have helped define my understandings of interacting with all different age groups of children and have given me practical experiences which have helped me define the type of teacher/mentor I strive to become.
